Love you?
Of course I do.
That's why I'll never let you see
How much, ever again;
I'll never come so close
That you can look down upon
My soul through my eyes
For the love you see will blind you
With its intensity.
I'll never come that close again, because
My love makes you blind - it once did.
Love's sarcastic alter ego
Could never be love
And the realization of this difference
I love.

Why would the Fates engineer
A rift of such magnitude between us?
Show me an answer and I'll show you a genius.
Anger hotter than icy, serac-white steel;
Nerves grating on an overwrought conscience
Impaled upon a spear of Guilt on the floor of
A bottomless pit of Pain.
My feelings... yours... a fallacy
We couldn't even feel anymore.
If there were anything I could relinquish,
It would be the part of you
I snatched and destroyed culpably
In the name of love.
The helplessness of helplessness
I hate.
